Bubble Up - Cocamidopropyl Betaine
Cocamidopropyl betaine is a mild surfactant derived from coconut oil. Surfacants attract oil and dirt, which makes them effective in soap, shampoo, and other similar products. Cocamidopropyl betaine is called Bubble Up because it produces gorgeous, lofty bubbles in your recipes.
Ways to Use this Product
Bubble Up is great for creating lather, increasing hydration, and thickening your products. We love Bubble Up because it produces “Hollywood” style bubbles in bubble cake recipes, shampoos, soaps, and other products.
- Add it to body wash or bubble bath recipes to boost the foaming power.
- Add foaminess to liquid washes and soap recipes.
- Add to your recipes to increase the viscosity and make the formula thicker.
- Create more foam in bubble bath bars or bath bombs.
- Use a small amount in melt & pour soap or whipped soap recipes to increase lather.

Product Details
Cocamidopropyl betaine is easy to confuse with Coco Betaine. However, these are different products. Coco Betaine is an entirely plant-based material whereas Bubble Up contains natural and synthetic ingredients. Both products come from coconut oil.
Both coco betaine and cocamidopropyl betaine are surfacants that work in a similar way. Cocamidopropyl betaine is a preferred ingredient because it is usually less irritating to the skin compared to coco betaine.
This product is sulfate free and is not a detergent. You can add it to soap recipes that you want to be sulfate-free and detergent-free.

Shipping
All of our products are handmade and can take time to make. We try to keep an inventory of all of our products on hand at all times to allow us to ship out most orders the day they are received or the next day in the majority of cases, however a delay of 2-3 days or even a week can happen for new molds the first week they are released, popular molds that have been posted/shared in a large community causing a surge of demand, a large order with multiple copies of the same mold, etc. Our current processing time is 1-5 business days. It is very rare that any of our orders will take longer than a week to process, but if something comes up where your product will be delayed that long we will do our best to reach out and let you know the orders progress along the way! We use USPS for shipping, with most small orders going out as first class mail, usually arriving in 2-4 business days.
